Elves for Elders is back at Partners In Care, Maryland and we need your support!

The holidays are typically a time for celebration and social gathering, but this time of year can be extremely difficult for many older adults, intensifying their feelings of isolation and loneliness.

Elves for Elders is one of the ways that our Member Care Program combats social isolation and promotes social engagement.  Last year our “Elves” stuffed hundreds of stockings which were hand delivered, with a smile and a hug, to our older adults in our communities.  Our Volunteers love bringing holiday cheer to many, who have had little or, no other visitors during this special season.

Loneliness and social isolation in older adults is a serious public health risk, affecting a significant number of older adults and, putting them at risk for depression, dementia and other consequential medical conditions.

Last year, Elves like yourself, donated to support our Member Care programs and events specifically designed to help combat social isolation and encourage social engagement.   

Your generous gift will make a difference in the life of an older adult during this holiday season and in the coming year.  All donations go directly to Partners In Care Maryland, Inc., an organization dedicated to “helping older adults remain independent in their homes and engaged in the community” since 1993.
