This free series utilizes volunteer, cyber experts to provide four-lesson topics with multiple sessions from March through June throughout Anne Arundel County. Data Care can be defined as the practice of protecting your personal information from the many vulnerabilities technology opens you up to. Despite the convenience of ordering groceries, scheduling doctor’s appointments, or connecting with friends on social media, being more present online means your data, like social security numbers, bank account information, and passwords could all be exposed to hackers and scammers. The Data Care lessons will help you navigate the cyber world confidently and equip you with the tools to protect yourself on your devices and online. Monthly topics: L1) Your Personal Information is Vulnerable: Learn How to Protect Your Data L2) Gain the Tools to Defend Your Data Against Hackers and Scammers L3) Reduce Your Fear of Technology, Confidently Explore the Cyber World. L4) Remain Resilient, Be Vigilant, Expand Your Network You may also call or email Makayla Alicea, the Data Care Project Manager, at (410) 544-4800 ext. 104 or email datacare@partnersincare.org |
